BTW, for those who have asked about getting a copy or print of a photo. If your OS is Windows, you can left-click your mouse on a photo. On the menu that pops up, select "save image to disk." The picture will be saved on your computer in Windows Explorer in the folder for My Pictures. You can then print it yourself. Or save the photo to a memory card or CD and take it to wherever you get photos printed, e.g., walgreens, Walmart, Ritz Photo, etc.

I have been getting your random cat photos on my google homepage for a while now. Usually I love them, and I appreciate the time and effort you put into providing the photos for cat lovers. My criticism is not aimed at you. I am upset that there are cases where the cat is obviously very unhappy if not actually being abused. When a cat’s irises are huge, wide open, in bright light, that is a sign the cat is anxious and afraid. I don’t care if it looks cute with a funny hat. The hat is covering its ears and it cannot hear properly. If one truly loves a cat, one would not do ANYTHING unnecessary to hurt it. And I hope that the person bathing the cat in the shower had a real good reason to be doing so. Cats should not be bathed because their skin becomes very dry. The cat also appears to have been declawed, which is extremely cruel. The owner seems to want a cat but won’t accept the cat without “improving” it. You might want to be more judicious in the photos you put on line. An animal rights group may come calling asking about some of these photos.

p.s. I have to agree that the misspelled captions are very annoying. Many times the caption covers an interesting part of the picture, but more often - and worse - they just don't make sense. Some of the words are not just misspelled. they have no meaning at all. So what's the point of mucking up a great picture with gobbledegook? That's just plain stoopid.

Greetings:

Does anyone ever respond to posted questions? I, like others, have asked about obtaining original pictures on the cat site, but no one responds.

What gives?

And... Could we please get some new pictures? I have looked at the same ones at least 10 times now.

Is there a way to get a print of the picture of the yellow kitten looking in a mirror and seeing a lion? I would love a copy. Thank you. Shirley Morris

Greetings:

Is there a way to purchase any of the photos? I would absolutely love a copy of the American Soldier in Iraq petting the stray cat, but I want it clean, without the writing on it.

I did crop the words out, but it would be so perfect having the original.

Thank you.

I enjoy the cat photos everyday-THANK YOU! I only have one funny photo of my Mollie, but it's a goody. She loves to spread out on our kitchen stools with all 4 legs hanging over and down. The pic was taken from behind and she is looking back at me like "WHAT?"

Please add my e-mail to your list so I can offer up some of my adorable kittie pictures.

I agree with others that most of these pictures are adorable but there are some that imply people are doing mean things to the cats to get these pictures. I do look at these pictures daily (I am addicted as others are) and appreciate the effort that has been made to share these pictures with the rest of us.

I appreciate your funny cat photos in general, but there is one that makes me feel sick and horrified. It was shown on iGoogle just the other day: a picture of a white kitten having its front legs pulled backward by some person, who seems to be lifting the kitten by those legs. The kitten's body is not built to allow its front legs to naturally move into that position, and there is evident considerable pain showing in the kitten's face and the way its ears are held. It is nothing more or less than a kitten being tortured by having its body stretched and torn.

I ask you to please remove that terrible photo from the rest of your enjoyable collection. It makes me want to cry whenever it comes up again. And I certainly don't want to see it encourage others to treat a cat that way. PLEASE REMOVE IT!!
