We need to vote. When you allow people to submit cat photos you should provide a method such that we can vote on the photos. Later you can add an option to show the photos by ranking.

Hi there. I really enjoy your site, I have four cats of my own. I have a question about a certain photo I saw a long time ago but haven’t seen again. It was a picture of a cat (duh) sitting in front of a food bowl (on the left side of the pic) and another animal (a ferrit I think) eating out of the bowl on the right side of the pic. The caption is “Wait…what?”.

Can you send me the link pleeeeeeeeease? I would really appreciate it!

A few images obviously are.

However, if you have the capability to examine and enlarge the images while they are still on your screen, (as I can) you see that “most” are not “photoshopped”

“photoshopped” is turning into a expression that people who are not familiar with image manipulation, use to express what their opinion is, not necessarily based on actual knowledge.

If you want to see an typical example of a “photoshopped” cat, provide your email address in this feedback forum and I’ll send you one .. :)

Anyone stop to think that the “airbrushed” cats might actually be “photoshopped” cats? Do we all really need to just jump right to the wrong conclusion?

I think some of the added texts are quite funny–and they are supposed to be mispelled and talk that way. I don’t find that it’s an insult to my intelligence (although some make me question the intelligence of the owner of the pic…) or the intelligence of cats.

Can’t we just enjoy the pictures, ignore the text, and be happy basking in the warmth of kitty-pics???

well, here I go again..
I hope there is only one misguided airbrush artist out there, who is disfiguring their own personal companions. (cats)

Notice the expressions on the cats..
Do they know they are being defaced ?
I think so.. :(

what causes people to modify their cats ?
I believe it is a ego issue.
“I am, therefore I can”.
Really sad.

How about airbrushing the inside of your colon ?
I’m sure you would appreciate the image, as you are the only one who could view it..

It would be great if there were a thumbnail page or a page wherein one could download multiple pictures simultaneously, given that you’ve breached the 1000-photo mark.

I love most of the cat pix and can’t wait to be able to give you some of my own. Please let me know when that option is available! As far as the convos about pros and cons of baby talk on some of the pix: my cat’s name is King Max the hell cat and he finds the baby talk beneath him and an insult to the feline race as a whole.
(though my less intellegent but very friendly/happy dog Buddy thinks they are a hoot!)

To Den: If, as you state, the blogger can take our opinions into account if s/he wants, then why can’t we “complain” all we want? It’s a blog. Also, my cat isn’t an idiot, so he doesn’t misspell words or talk like a 12 year old girl texting her friends.

If Elisa chooses to post certain disgusting and disturbing cat images without proper screening, it is his right. (I think)

I hate the large blocks of idiotic, childish, misspelled text that some photos have, that obliterating a other wise very cute cat /dog/other pet image.
I have sorted through about 1500 images and have downloaded 217 to date.
There ARE cute pictures on the blog.

Additionally you don’t understand that people who spray paint or color dye their cats to achieve some non normal appearance, are most likely disturbed.

Have you seen the image with a stoned chick who created (I hope its not real ), a image of her igniting a cat with a lighter?

How about the image of someone who restrained a cat, and cut most of the fur from it, just to take a picture ?

Obese cats are not “cute” and the owners are responsible for creating them.
Cats don’t hop in the car and head to the local pet shop for High calorie food, but you do…
